    Hello:
Our family is traveling to Thailand next month. Two persons are staying 33 days and two are staying 14 days. Do all of us need to get visa’s? And if so what do we need to bring with us to the Thai Consulate beside our US Passports?
    Thank you, Madelyn Sawyer

    Hi there,

My husband is applying for a Tourist visa and his trip is being paid for by someone else. I will therefore provide in the application, the other person’s bank statement and an Affidavit of Support, as is requested. Are you able to send me the Affidavit of Support form?

    Thanks,
    Emily

Thank you for visiting our site.

In regard to your concern, we would like to know which country your husband will be visiting. If he is applying for a tourist visa to Thailand, normally there is no standard Affidavit of Support form. It can be a notarized Sponsorship Letter which is signed by an authorized personnel.

You may also contact the Royal Thai Embassy in your place and confirm with them if they provide assistance with this.

My husband, young daughter and I are planning to move to Thailand for at least a year. I am confused about the different types of visas. There is the 60 day visa which you can extend 30 days but then we have to do a “visa run” to be able to stay in the country for another 90 days and you can do this up to a year? But then what happens after the year is up? Also is there a long term (at least one year) visa we can apply for where we wouldn’t have to do visa runs as we have a small child and that may be difficult?

    Thank you!

Hello! I’m trying to apply for a tourist visa with 2 entries because I would like to stay for four months (August-November) I am a bit confused on my airfare ticket can I buy a ticket and show proof of departure from Thailand after 4 months or do they want to see proof that I’m crossing the border after 2 months??? Thank you!

When applying for a tourist visa, return tickets is not usually required and, therefore, you don’t need to show any proof of airfare tickets when entering Thailand.

Since you are holding a Chinese passport, you will need to apply for visa on arrival when you arrive in Thailand. You may refer to this website by Siam Legal for more information on visa on arrival application for citizens of China.
