      Hi James!

If you are marrying a Thai national, you will be eligible to apply for the Thai Marriage Visa. This visa will allow you to stay in Thailand for 1 year and is also renewable every year. You may apply for a re-entry permit once you have obtained this visa. Another option for you is the Thai Retirement Visa, which will give you mostly the same benefits as the Marriage Visa. We would love to be able to talk to you and give you advise on this matter. Please send your email to [email protected] or call the Bangkok Office at +66 2 259 8100.

I decided to write to you instead. Hopefully, you received my messages .

      Hi Antiga,

It appears that you might have confused our firm with the Thai Embassy/Consulate. For reference regarding your concern, you may visit the Thai MFA website by clicking on the link below:
      http://www.mfa.go.th/main/en/services/1415/21482-e-Passport-Application-for-Thai-Nationals-Living-A.html

On the same note, we still highly recommend that you talk to someone from the Thai Consulate or Embassy in your location to verify all the documents that they’ll require.

Depending on the purpose of your travel, you may apply for a visa at the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur provided that you meet the requirements. For contact details, you may visit this website by clicking on the link below:

If you are still in Australia, however, it is best that you do the visa application in your country as they might be able to offer you more options as compared to lodging your visa application in another country.

      Hi Julie!

You may apply for a retirement visa at the Thai Embassy or Consulate which is nearest your location. You might be required, however, to submit requirements such as police clearance and medical certificate. For information on the requirements and visa processing, we advise that you contact the Thai Embassy.

If you wish to do the visa extension (based on retirement) inside Thailand, you may leave your phone number and we will have a Senior Visa Specialist contact you to discuss with you this option.
