We are visiting Bangkok in April. We hold NZ passports. During our stay in Bangkok we wish to take a three day tour by road to visit Ankor Wat in Cambodia then return to Bangkok by road.

Do we need to make special visa arrangements to do the above?

Our total time in Thailand including the trip to Cambodia will be 23 days.

      Hello Jim!

Thank you for visiting our website.

Basically, holders of NZ passports are not required for a visa if they wish to stay in Thailand for less than 30 days if travelling by air or 15 days if travelling by land (i.e., border crossing from Cambodia or other neighboring countries).

If you wish to stay longer than the allowed duration, you may apply for an extension of up to 30 days at the immigration office inside Thailand.

Citizens of Thailand should be able to apply for passport renewal at any Thai Embassy or Consulate.

      Hi Shane Massey!

It appears that you might have confused our firm with the Thai Embassy/Consulate. For reference regarding your concern, you may visit the Thai MFA website by clicking on the link below:
      http://www.mfa.go.th/main/en/services/1415/21482-e-Passport-Application-for-Thai-Nationals-Living-A.html

On the same note, we still highly recommend that you talk to someone from the Thai Consulate or Embassy in your location to verify all the documents that they’ll require you to furnish.

You may check the with the nearest Thai Consulates in your area on the required documents for tourist visa application. It is best if you can contact them directly to confirm if they accept visa application for Pakistani nationals.

Hi! Just wondering if the consulate in Brisbane is still open? Google maps seems to think that it is permanently closed, so I am just wondering what the situation is.

If it is closed, what is the best way for me to go about getting a visa? (I plan on staying in thailand for 3-4 months, with a quick Vietnam trip in the middle).

    Thanks!

      Hi Peter!

I’m sorry but we are not able to confirm which phone numbers for the Thai Consulates or other offices in Australia are working and which are not. In regard to the financial requirement for the application, the 800,000 baht money in the bank must be deposited in your Thai bank account for 2 months prior to starting your application for the 1 year non-immigrant visa based on retirement.
