Issuance of visa from a foreign country (or those which is not your home country) is entirely on a discretionary basis by the embassy officer, and therefore we can’t give you a definite answer to your concern. We advise that you contact the embassy in Auckland on this matter.

Since you’re planning to stay in Thailand for only 54 days, here’s an option for you. You may travel to Thailand without a visa and you will be given a 30-day visa exempt stamp at the airport upon your arrival. Before expiration of the 30-day stamp, you may apply for another 30 days extension at the immigration office within Thailand. Visa extension fee is currently THB 1,900.

If you wish to apply for a tourist visa at the Thai Embassy in Auckland instead, we advise that you contact them to confirm if they accept Thai visa applications for German citizens.

I notice that you refer to your office in Auckland as the Thai Embassy on occasion. Are you the Consulate or Embassy? My understanding is that Embassies can only be situated in a Capital city.
    Regards,

    Hello,

The statement at the top of the page says: “The Royal Thai Consulate in New Zealand is there for all Kiwi’s who wish to visit Thailand.” I am an American tourist here and would like to apply for a Thailand visitors visa, can I do that at the Auckland Consulate?

    Thank you,

    Peter
